  • Thai Pork Loin

    Ingredients

    1 pound thinly sliced pork loin
    salt and pepper to taste
    1 tablespoon unsalted butter
    1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
    1 cup chicken stock
    1 cup dry white wine
    3 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro

    Directions

    Season meat with salt and pepper to taste.

    In a large skillet, heat butter and olive oil over medium heat. When skillet is hot, place sliced pork loin into skillet; cook until browned, turning once. After both sides have browned nicely, add chicken stock ,and cook until liquid thickens.

    Stir in dry white wine, scraping the bottom of the pan. Reduce heat, and simmer until liquid is reduced by half. Remove from heat, and allow to cool slightly. Stir in cilantro. Spoon sauce over pork when serving.

  • How To Make Hot Cheesy Spinach Dip

    Ingredients

    3 tablespoons butter
    2 cloves garlic, peeled and chopped
    1 bunch baby spinach, rinsed
    1/2 cup white wine
    salt and pepper to taste
    hot sauce to taste
    1/2 cup chopped green onion
    3 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
    1/2 cup mayonnaise
    1/2 cup half-and-half

    Directions

    Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).

    Melt the butter in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Stir in the garlic, baby spinach and white wine. Cook and stir 2 to 3 minutes, until spinach is wilted. Mix in salt and pepper and hot sauce. Remove from heat and transfer to a medium bowl.

    Mix green onion, mozzarella cheese, mayonnaise and half and half into the bowl with the spinach mixture. Transfer mixture to a medium baking dish.

    Bake in the preheated oven 20 minutes, or until bubbly and lightly browned.

  • Pickled Cheese Recipe

    Ingredients

    7 ounces feta cheese
    4 sprigs fresh thyme
    7 fluid ounces white wine vinegar
    1 teaspoon honey

    Directions

    Rinse the feta cheese, and pat dry with paper towels. Cut into half-inch cubes. In a 1 pint glass jar, place a layer of cheese cubes, followed by a layer of thyme. Repeat layers until the jar is nearly full. Whisk together the white wine vinegar and honey; pour over the cheese until the jar is full. Screw the lid on, and leave in the refrigerator to marinate for at least one day.

  • Gorgonzola Salad Recipe

    Ingredients

    1 teaspoon salt
    1 teaspoon red wine vinegar
    1/2 cup extra light olive oil
    3 cloves garlic, crushed
    1 head lettuce
    1 ounce Gorgonzola cheese, crumbled

    Directions

    In a small bowl, whisk together the salt, vinegar, olive oil and garlic. Set aside.

    Chop lettuce and arrange in salad bowls. Sprinkle some Gorgonzola cheese over each salad, spoon on desired amount of dressing, and serve.
