  • How To Make Herb Turkey Rub

    Ingredients

    4 teaspoons chopped fresh rosemary leaves
    4 teaspoons chopped fresh thyme
    4 teaspoons minced onion
    4 teaspoons minced garlic
    1/4 cup white wine Worcestershire sauce
    2 teaspoons coarse kosher salt
    1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
    1/4 cup olive oil

    Directions

    In a blender or food processor, mix rosemary, thyme, onion, garlic, white wine Worcestershire sauce, coarse salt, pepper, and olive oil. Pulse until well blended. Cover, and chill in the refrigerator at least 10 minutes before rubbing under turkey skin or injecting into meat as desired.

  • Recipe For Buttermilk-Blue Cheese Red Cabbage Slaw

    Ingredients

    1/4 cup Hellmann’s(r) or Best Foods(r) Real Mayonnaise
    1/4 cup buttermilk
    1/2 cup crumbled blue cheese (optional)
    1 1/2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
    2 teaspoons white wine vinegar
    1 1/2 teaspoons celery salt
    1 medium head red cabbage, finely shredded
    2 medium carrots, shredded
    4 green onions, thinly sliced

    Directions

    Combine Hellmann’s(r) or Best Foods(r) Real Mayonnaise, buttermilk, blue cheese, mustard, vinegar and celery salt in large bowl with wire whisk (or combine in food processor and process until smooth).

    Season, if desired, with salt and black pepper. Stir in cabbage, carrots and green onions. Cover and refrigerate least 30 minutes.

  • Mediterranean Farfalle Recipe

    Ingredients

    1 (12 ounce) package farfalle pasta
    1 pound chorizo sausage, crumbled
    1/4 cup fresh basil leaves, cut into thin strips
    1/2 cup pine nuts
    2 cloves garlic, minced
    1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
    1 cup diced tomato
    1/2 cup olive oil
    3/8 cup red wine

    Directions

    Cook pasta in salted, boiling water until al dente.

    While the pasta is cooking, brown ham over medium heat. Add nuts and brown them also; do not burn! Add garlic, and remove from heat.

    Drain pasta. In a large bowl, toss together pasta, ham mixture, basil, cheese, and tomatoes. Whisk together olive oil and vinegar; pour over pasta, and toss. Serve.

  • Pirate’s Delight Recipe

    Ingredients

    4 teaspoons dry white wine or chicken broth
    12 ounces fresh or frozen cod fillets, thawed and cut into 1 inch pieces
    1/3 cup crushed saltine crackers
    1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
    1/8 teaspoon garlic powder
    1/8 teaspoon paprika
    2 teaspoons olive or canola oil
    2 teaspoons grated Parmesan cheese

    Directions

    Pour wine or broth into a 13-in. x 9-in. x 2-in. baking dish coated with nonstick cooking spray. Place fish on top. Combine cracker crumbs, Italian seasoning, garlic powder and paprika; sprinkle over fish. Drizzle with oil. Top with cheese. Bake, uncovered, at 400 degrees F for 12-15 minutes or until lightly browned and fish flakes easily with a fork.
